Bisphenol A is a chemical compound used in plastics that has been linked to breast and prostate cancer, and it can cause infertility. It disrupts the hormones in your body and should be avoided whenever possible.
BPA is most commonly found in polycarbonate bottles which are rigid and clear or translucent. They usually can be identified by checking the recycling label. If it is #7, you can be reasonably sure it may contain BPA and should be avoided. Microwaving plastics that contain BPA will accelerate the release of this chemical so we recommend that you only use glass or ceramic containers in the microwave.
Cool Lunch Bags is concerned about your health and we are careful not to sell any water bottles that contain BPA. We realize that not all the research is in on this problem, but why take a chance when you can use our BPA free stainless steel bottles for your drinks. The plastic bottles that come with many of our lunch bags are made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and do not contain BPA.
